And it's sad that a lot of these things are gone, but it's also eat knowing that there's still these fragments from a bygone day, and that even though I never personally grew up there and many of the original residents have since passed away, it still holds a place in my heart and importantly, a place where my grandma, aunties and uncles all still reside

I do think that younger folks, your generation, my generation, we're doing a lot to reinstall our cultural values and our traditions into our communities. And I think that if you look at things as simple as maybe the different food events all over the city, you see how much people are accepting of trying new things from all over the world. That's one very small example

And sometimes we rebuild some of these ideas in little aspects that we create in our own lives, in our own homes, in the stories we tell, in the way we decide to look at a city through the lens of family, legacy, and history. And I just. I'm just so happy. I know a little more about Crenshaw now because of you. So I really appreciate this. Thank you so much
