#TellYourStory | The best advice I ever received was...

You. The best advice I received was from a very dear friend of mine. I think he passed away back in 2012. And whatever he said was, you know, somehow it helped me to navigate through life, especially when I'm in ups and downs. And what he said was, you can't trust people easily. You, whether it's your inner circle, your family or friends, trust. It takes years to build, but then it takes a minute to be destroyed

Trust is not given it’s earned. And trust no one but God.

It wasn't until one day that it really dawned on me what that really, really meant. You can't trust people because you never know what people have going on in their life. At the end of the day, you still don't really know how people feel about you or what's going on in their head. But what you can trust is God

Falsehood has become so prominent. If someone says the truth, they are made fun of, even as an educator. And when I see the children, people take pride in fooling people and making fun of people and selling fake stuff and doing fake things. So there is no honesty. Very few people believe in being honest and truthful. So this is one advice, and it has helped me a lot. I would say it has helped me a lot
