What does an elegant person look like?

So you don't necessarily avoid responsibility. They usher things in. They make things happen or make the right connections and have things flowing. And it seems smooth and seamless, which makes sense, right? It means you don't lose your poise. It means you don't really have to show you're effective, but you don't have to. It's that Queen Elizabeth face. You don't have to show or expose too much of yourself if you choose not to

He was very elegant, but he was also smooth in the way he conveys his elegance. And so I looked up the word elegance. I love a dictionary. And I believe, if I remember the definition correctly, it said, pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance and manner. That was the definition for elegance. And so it sounds like you got your two components right. You have pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance and pleasingly stylish and graceful in manner

You hit a chord with me. Because Brown Sugar by D'Angelo maybe, like, has to be, like, top three favorite albums of all time. And I used to play smooth over and over. Just have to say that, like, I could listen to that song for 2 hours straight

Isn't that funny how I can sort of sense there's that bit of similarity between D'Angelo's artistic expression and how its impact on how you saw elegance in your own life, how it was portrayed and exemplified through one of your colleagues, and how that music continues to resonate with you. I'm a musician also I'm a lyricist, and I get it

I don't know if I would have chosen the word elegant the way this author did, but hearing you talk about these things and what your interpretation of it was it the overall ideas there, I can get behind it. The word elegant is a strange one to me, because it can also come with a bunch of other interpretations that don't quite fit with this. But I like the way that you've taken it

She may walk in elegance and her wifely duties, if you will, but she may not be someone that I want to mimic their style of dress. So then I have to find someone else who is an elegant dresser. And I may ask, where do they buy their clothes? Who's their stylist? I may try to emulate what they wear, and then I may run into someone who is an elegant mechanic and how they have a grasp of automotive systems and which tools to use

But it's a feeling, kind of like Maya Angelou has taught us that people always forget what you said, but they'll never forget how you made them feel. And I would say, if I were to say thinking back through elegance as a trait for people I know, I would agree with you. I don't think most people in my life constitute as being elegant people or demonstration of elegance

And so when I think of an elegant person, I think of somebody that's graceful, that's stylish, someone that's classy. So I guess what you are describing could fit that definition as well, because, like I said, it's a person that has a lot of grace on them to handle situations and assignments that need to be done with a level of, like you said, smoothness and seamlessness

And I will look at this word differently after your post. Because you can look elegant, you may not always feel elegant. So I guess there is a state of looking and feeling in elegance that I shall be thinking about more and more as I think about myself and my own process of self development and growth. So thank you for this. And yeah, there is no one quite like Dr

I'm sure I could look on myself or things I recently purchased and figure it out, but that's where it came from, and it just wasn't so much. I guess I could say it may not be so much as the author's interpretation as that when I looked at that sentence, I said, okay, what does that mean? How do I translate and interpret that in a way that means something to me in my own life?

I almost get the sense that you're saying, like, somebody who does something of interest to you in a way that seems effortless relative to what it takes you to do that thing, which makes sense. Right. And if they do something in a way that seems not only better, but in a way that's more effortless than you are, then you may want to. You pick up that sort of thing from them, which is why that particular thing may stick out
