Crawford Lake. A particular and rare place on the planet. A record keeper of human existence. Layers of information. A geological wonder. Like tree rings, it marks, some say the beginning of the anthropocene layers profoundly changed starting in the 50s

That's a peripheral comment to the point of your posts, which I think is profound and involves some very deep thinking. But I think that one of the things that is so compelling about water is the way in which it can hold a shape and also forget that shape almost immediately. But as you note, whatever has been put into it leaves traces behind that we might not be able to see. Anyway, thanks for this
