Outlawing short flights in Germany

article image placeholderUploaded by @Kirsten
Hello, everyone. I read this article yesterday in a German very neutral newspaper called the site The Times, and it was doing a poll among people asking them if they think their flight should be prohibited in Germany. You all know Germany is a small country and has a great train system, and the reason they want to outlaw flights or are considering outlawing flights is because of carbon dioxide, of course. And France has done a similar thing

Should short flights be replaced by more environmentally friendly means of transportation

This is a genius idea. They already have such a good train network. I don't know why they need the short flights. Oh, well

This needs to be implemented everywhere. If you have an alternative to get there fast like a fast train or something ecological, then why would you fly? It doesn't make any sense. A perfect idea that they have it'd be challenging here in the States. It's a bigger country and our infrastructure is not as good for trains, but I look forward to Sunday when we do have those options and then these cheap airline $5 flights to go 2 hours
