Thank you so much for sharing this. I had no idea that Shirley Chisholm ran for President. And that's sad considering that I'm about to graduate with a bachelor's degree. And yet never in my education did I learn about Shirley Crystal. Thank you so much for sharing this quote and telling a piece of her story

And this is a really good example of not knowing about the first Black woman who really broke so many rules to follow her dream and speak for her community. I'm thinking that there is a film about her, but I can't remember. I think it might be a documentary, but I'll find out and if I find it, I will paste it here. Thanks
