November by Adam Zagajewski

And I think that one of the reasons that it seems like every time I turn around I'm stumbling across another poem about November. I think one of the reasons that November is so evocative for poems is exactly that instability, the way in which it can move at any moment, in one direction or in another. Unfortunately, Adam Zagievsky died in 2021. He was a much beloved poet among poets and is still, I think, sorely missed. This is November. You stand by the music school

It is a strange month and you've kind of nailed it for me. I've always wondered why November is strange and of course it took a poet to bring me closer to wondering, to stop the wondering. But I'll always wonder. I like to wonder but I love when things get a little a hint of clarity. Thank you so much for inviting me to this and for letting me break my day up by hearing a beautiful poem and read so beautifully

And now me and him share the same birthday and same birthday month and Zodiac sign. And Thanksgiving is just one of my favorite holidays of all the holidays in America that we celebrate. It's a month for me of gratitude, family thankful. I don't want to invalidate at all that you feel strange in November. November can be pretty, a little strange because of the ending of October, right. And all the Halloween festivities and everything. But I think it's a month of gratitude, maybe
