Mother being only natural guardian has right to decide surname of child, says Supreme Court- what are your opinions on this verdict
For me, a surname doesn't describe you or defines you. But we live in a country like India, obviously, and in India, culture, history, heritage, lineage, this all matters a lot. And we still live in a society where they still are narrow minded, and for them, a boy child or the surname is very important. So, again, having the surname would obviously be important if you live in India for the society, for in the sake of living in the society

Yes, but one thing is for sure. New cases and new situations are giving you many precedents. And benchmark are being set every day with repairing of the old law system. So the law is very extensive. And the second part the concept of identity. The last name or surname as we say. Yes, even I do not feel that any particular name actually gives you identity. The way Shakespeare has said about the rules and the name thing. But yes, a name doesn't give you identity

So apart from that, when it comes to identity and the concept of Hindu law, I had uploaded a kind of a minimicrous blog or thought something long back. I just found that and I'm uploading it. So if you're not able to read that because it's a very old photo and it has pixelated also, I think. So it reads that it is common trade for every property owned to be transferred on to your name

But in the world right now, adoption in India, adoption is not considered as a huge thing. Huge thing in the sense as a thing, to be honest, because they always want the biological successor, previous generation, a lot of generations, even the current generation, some of them really want biological successes. They don't want adults

So that's why for injured society it's very important to have a certain but I would say belong to a very good category so that you can prove it from a good subject. Now, when it comes to this case, it's very kind of attached. I would say it should be parents choice. It should be a child's choice. Obviously, the child is not old enough to think these things wisely
