Elon Musk decides to withdraw from Twitter deal
So the news for the day is that Elon Musk has decided to not go ahead with his decision to buy Twitter. Musk cites many reasons, but the most important is that he believes that Twitter hasn't been providing enough information about the number of fake accounts on the platform. And Twitter in turn, has stated that they are going to pursue legal options to ensure that the deal goes through. But it remains to be seen if Mask finally acquiesces to what Twitter is stating now

When this deal was first announced, there was a number of us on Swell who opined that maybe Elon Musk hasn't thought this all the way through because the 40 plus billion purchase price is just the beginning. If he wanted to do what he said he wanted to accomplish on Twitter, he would have had had to completely replatform Twitter, which would be an even greater cost in addition to that 40 plus billion

And of course he's active on it too, right? It seems like he hasn't handed his Twitter account to some social media managing person. It seems like it is him that is active on Twitter. So I think that added to the whole playbook of his where he's passionate about the product, right. And so I did not see this coming, frankly
