Dating in College: Yes or No, The Good and the Ugly parts

article image placeholderUploaded by @JonathanGossett
It's definitely something I think is talked about more with marriage but dating in general is really not talked about and I think it's because in our generation especially it's very easy to move on or simply think that, oh, I can find someone else but some people simply don't want to deal with the ugly and that is what makes a good relationship because with the ugly comes the extreme conversations, the communication, the expression of emotions that makes us human

Some things I wanted to add it on my post was about with relationships. Communication is definitely key, especially when it comes to expressing tough times as an individual or questioning of your relationship. Whether the other person doesn't as you or not, whether you're feeling depressed, whether you're feeling just overall overwhelmed with life and if you are not feeling listened to from your partner

I remember at the very beginning of my relationship with my boyfriend, we had a lot of issues because I was 20 and he's in his late twenties. So obviously we're going to have a lot of issues because I'm out here in my College phase, and he's already been through that. He's very tired of it, but we just had to communicate through our emotions, and now it's okay. Like, we set boundaries for each other, but even now we still have issues

And if not, I think that's when relationship honestly, I have never gotten to that point. It's kind of bold for me to say, but I think that's when relationship starts losing its engine of continuing
