I Quit Coffee and Caffeine!

article image placeholderI Quit Coffee, and I Don't Miss It!
So I gave it a shot. I was blown away. I didn't get any headaches. So I was expecting to get some sort of withdrawal headaches. It didn't happen. I am sleeping so much better at night. Like, really? I'm not kidding. Noticeably better. And here I am, 40 years later. I don't even miss it. I don't miss it. So beyond the issue of not ingesting caffeine or having coffee in the morning

But I was recently ill, and the last thing that I could imagine in the morning was drinking a cup of coffee just because I felt so horrible. So I kind of perhaps accidentally am falling back into not drinking coffee again

Hi, Izzy. How are you? Thanks for sharing your story. Yeah. So, you know, it's interesting because I love the taste of coffee, but for some reason, somehow it just happened this way. I decided let me just try not drinking it. And it worked out out for me. I still think coffee tastes great, and I'm sure I'll have it once in a while, but now it probably becomes more of a treat once in a while

Yeah, Joe, a couple of weeks ago, I went on a detox and two week detox and I did not drink any caffeine or coffee during that time and really didn't miss it. I drank green tea. I replaced it with a caffeine free drink green tea and actually enjoyed that. And I thought I might replace it altogether. But I still like at least one cup in the morning as soon as I wake up and I don't think it helps me wake up anymore

But I think just over the years maybe I'm just so much more susceptible to the effects of caffeine. Normally, I wake up in the morning. My first cup of coffee is somewhere between 530 and 630 in the morning. And you would think that wouldn't affect you once in a while

And then I don't have to worry about mine because I have high blood pressure and my veins is the last thing that needs to be squeezing in on itself. And I had a brain aneurysm in 2015, and so I didn't realize that if I did, I forgot about it. But I just researched again to find out what exactly caffeine was doing and that there was caffeine in decaffeinated coffee
