And I don't think Jenny Lewis was a musician at the time. I think she was still a child actress, but she's in the film, which ends with Road to Nowhere. The title of this playlist, of course, from the brilliant Talking Heads. Next up, a couple of songs that have just been in the background for me is The Seagar Ross and on the Low by Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions of Massy Star and My Bloody Valentine

Just a correction that I meant to say, beloved, when I was talking about the post, not beloved. I'm cracking up

70’s Disco 🕺🏿 💃🏾 @JLMcMillan

It doesn't make sense. But I love disco. I feel like when you hear disco songs, people are just spinning around and having a good time. And I mean, that's the vibe. I'm trying to keep going this week because in reality, it is a very intense work week. So thank you for asking this question. Thank you for making me think about it. And now I'm going to lean into it. I hope you're having an amazing week as well

You've just thrown away five grand because that's what you think it's going to be worth in years to come because it's a limited edition, right? But I went to the record store and I bought a 1971 version. In fact, 219 71 version. One was a little bit more than the other, and it's thicker vinyl, and I think it sounds different from the other, just slightly more bassy or something. I don't know

Wouldn't it be great if we had a time and we could all just get together and play something, play tunes for each other, maybe vibe off of what PK says. She's listening to disco. Maybe she kicks it off with some disco, and then she plays a couple. You play a couple, I play a couple, and then we see where that vibe takes us. I think this would be cool

I have a friend who writes about music, and he's always talking about how much disco had a bad name, even when it was really huge for some pretty awful reasons, actually, but it has prevailed, and it totally prevails as something that does lift us up. And I agree, it's so good

Hey, Mark, I love that you finally got a chance to open that imagine with your brother super special, and it sounds like he was totally honored. That's really sweet. And you giving him one of of the copies that you have is also very sweet. Oh, a flood. That's just awful. And it's cool when you're talking about the thicker vinyl. It sounded really good

And then all the layers, disco and dancing, man, they would just dance all night and have a great time that obviously rubbed off on me and my brothers and sisters. And they can't be a party without disco and soul. Of course, when it comes to me, I love to dance and that's all I can dance to. Really disco, Soul, 70 soul. You can throw in a little bit of rock and roll and 60 sold too

I don't really feel the need to absorb or assimilate the modern generations music, especially since it's very much not musically challenging. Musically bereft of intelligence. The rap is just like somebody drinking a bottle of tequila mumbling b**** over and over again. So I was glad to at least I made the effort to go out there and look because I couldn't believe that it was just a bunch of nonsentence finishing mumbling idiots
