Charles Bradley’s Powerful Cover of Black Sabbath’s "Changes" and the Importance of Soul

article image placeholderListen to "Changes" (Black Sabbath Cover) by Charles Bradley
And to me, he really brings back the best qualities of soul, and we just don't really hear in a lot of recording artists these days. There's a really great documentary on him called The Soul of America, and it talks about his life, his family, the loss of his brother, his rise to Fame, all of his hustle that went into getting to the Fame that he finally did reach

Jessica, thank you so, so, so much for this. Well, I love this song. And I had no idea it was a cover somehow. The first time I heard it, I think it was random. Randomly. It popped up for me via a radio station I was listening to on Spotify. And it's actually what introduced me to Charles Bradley's work. And I learned a little more about his life after that. And you encapsulated him. And I his story so beautifully

And I admire that an artist outside of heavy metal decided to take this on because it's one thing for another metal artist to cover a Black Sabbath song, you don't exactly have to go outside of your comfort zone. But with this, it's a little bit different, and it's a meaningful song. It's one that a lot of people hold very near and dear to their heart. And it was ambitious, and he nailed it. He absolutely nailed it
