Start-up - the quest for product market fit

Hi, this is John Goscha and I live here in Denver, Colorado, and I'm the founder of Native Voice, and I'd love to hear from anyone or talk about startups and how to find product market fit. We've been through this twice in the past and very fortunate to start two companies, but onto a third now in the software space, particularly the audio space and looking for that business model to click and how to get there and start seeing the business work

My first post to just open the conversation

My first startup took a few years to achieve product market fit

And mobile gaming had not quite been it. And when mobile took off in 20 08 20 17 time frame, we pivoted and focused on mobile commerce because a lot of retailers wanted to write the mobile as well. They wanted to be available and have good experiences for these users who are coming more and more to shop on their properties on their websites, on mobile devices rather than desktop browsers and traditional ecommerce platform where it's built in a way it was very hard for them to support mobile easily

Super fans

What was that like, how they make their decisions and then look at every node in that chain and then say, wow, it might help us replicate where we really fit in the market based on the characteristics of these people. Do you do that? Because I know I did that a lot when I was doing more creative stuff that I'm doing now

How to prove end user engagement in the voice space

So what we're seeing as far as product market fit is one. We're getting a lot of devices who are adopting our software, so think earbuds and smart speakers. We're also getting incredible interest from brands. So we launched hey Spotify a couple of months ago. We're getting ready to launch. Mpr. Hey, I heart is coming. Hey, Weather Channel and a couple of others. But the problem we have is the end user

A lot of parallels with the early days of mobile apps ecosystem

Hey, John, it was great to hear you explain what you're doing, because this is exactly kind of what we went through in the early days of mobile. We had mobile devices, a lot of have different type of devices. The mobile app developers had the challenge of getting their apps onto those devices, and even when they did and this was done mediated by app stores
