What social media apps are you not into?

And yes, it is a bit ironic to talk about social media apps within a social media app, but I would like to argue that Swell is unique enough to have this kind of conversation in. But my question to you is, are there any social media apps that you refuse to be a part of? Are there any social media apps where you just feel like they're overrated and you don't want to participate for a long time? For me, that was Twitter

There are so many social media platforms out there, I wanna hear about which ones you don’t enjoy.

For the content I create, I don’t need every platform

I do mind spending hours or for me at my age, more likely days composing a highly edited and well composed video for TikTok. So just not going there. I do prefer Instagram and Twitter. I'm on Facebook. I don't like it, but my peer group is there. My parents are there and my audience is there

Live apps and video focused aren’t my strong suit.

I felt I was more equipped to talk with strangers, but I'm slowly learning to talk with friends and family more and like, do my podcasting and promote it and all that stuff. But apps that I just like TikTok. I respect it. One of my great friends. She uses it often and shares with me videos. She finds funny, and I see plenty of videos on Instagram that are TikTok related

Personally, I don't stream anything, but I do love Animal Crossing, so I made an Instagram for Animal Crossing, and I'm personally not on my own personal Instagram that often you'll catch me more on the Animal Crossing version of Instagram, and I love how that has created an Explore page that is so unique to my taste and cute and cuddly and speaks nothing about politics and nothing about the news and nothing about what's going on, because personally, I know I keep saying that that's what I need at this moment

Good points @Chi_Anonymous

But I understand a lot of ethical and moral reasons why people decide to opt out of Facebook. But for me, that's probably one of my. If I didn't have Facebook, I would probably never talk as much with my family and friends. I was about to say just family, but I'm like, well, friends too. But those are aspects I need to work on to be a better human being. Twitter and the Mute I agree. Mute is so wonderful on Twitter

@Wuandurful

I feel like putting yourself out there is hard, but there is a way to do it that's not so self deprecating. I feel like a lot of people are thirsty and I don't know. I feel like there's a way to be about your business versus being thirsty and just overwhelming us with your content. So for me, I just like apps that I can curate my feed. I do still enjoy Facebook

You’re much more mature than I. 😆 @Chi_Anonymous

And same goes with Facebook and Instagram and Twitter. So as far as the thirsty people like you said, I understand it. And in some ways, a lot of those people are more successful than me because of that nature, to basically be a door to door salesman for their craft. But I just want to try to figure out a different way of gaining listeners than simply just doing door to door salesmanship because I'm not a great door to door salesman
