Really, it plays like an extended kind of Mexican mid 20th century horror film, something that has this certain kind of aura to it that is missing from a lot of modern horror, which focuses on cheaper scares. There's a lot of atmosphere in Ladren's Daamas that I really responded to also on Netflix in terms of zombie movies, one that people might not think of as much when they think of the genre is Atlantic.
