‘Red Notice’ an offense to cinema

article image placeholderUploaded by @isaacfeldberg
Hi, everyone. Isaac Feldberg here on Swell with a movie that I hope some listeners have seen that I'm very curious in your opinion on. I'm talking about Red Notice on Netflix, which is reportedly one of the most expensive films the streamer has ever gotten behind up there with Martin Scorsese gangster opus The Irishman as a plus 200 million production starring Dwayne Johnson, Galcadot and Ryan Reynolds. The chosen genre for Red Notice is globaltrotting espionage thriller

I said what I said.

And then, like a car accident or a train wreck. Like, I'm curious. I got to see this now. I was predisposed before, and now I definitely am on board. And let you know if I find it in offense to cinema

Ouch 😂😂😂 I’m definitely checking it out!

He was like, being very snarky and dry. I was like, I don't know. I think that's how he's seen as an actor. So those are the roles he plays. But then again, that could be him. So I guess I get that. Dwayne Johnson. I just find him to be like, the big lovable sort of character. Like, I don't take him seriously as a threat. Or you said, FBI agent. I don't know that

And so it was easy to watch, not because they had any interest in watching the movie, but just because it was easy to watch because it's on Netflix and it has a cast full of people that most people enjoy watching. I honestly just think that this is a movie that people will forget a year from now, if not even just a couple of weeks from now. This movie does nothing different, different to stand out from other action movies that have come out recently

But I think there's equal value in seeing stuff that you're more on the fence about or stuff that you're not sure about just to kind of get a sense of landscape of what's being made right now. At least that's how I feel as someone who writes about film with some frequency. And I do think that I think Tim said this
