Good evening, everyone. My name is Irtika Kazi and I am a poet by passion, by profession. I am a German language expert. I am extremely glad today to be here on swell interaction, acting with all the listeners who are interested in poetry. I think poetry is one of the most creative forms of writing that has ever, ever existed. And it gives me immense pleasure to be here interacting with you all and sharing and exchanging thoughts about poetry

I love to think creatively. In what way has the author created this character, created a particular plot, created a particular timeline to the story? So, yeah, that is something I absolutely admire in a story. The second thing about it about the story is the chain of narration and also the way the characters are portrayed

Coming on to the next question, what books or authors have influenced your own writing? Well, I think I absolutely admire confessional poets because I have have read quite a few confessional poems by Sylvia Plas, by Anne Sexton, Emily Dickinson. And the reason why I love confessional poetry is because of the sense of difficulty it creates within me as a human, as a person, because I have to be self reflective in order to write a confessional poem

What book is currently on my table? Currently, I'm not reading any book, but I'm focusing more on essays and articles on the net and more so literary article articles about war, about the current situations we are facing. The whole world is facing. So currently I am reading this article by Kate Circan and he writes about how Ukrainian writers are contributing to the war effort

And to the last question, what advice would I like to give to writers who want to start out fresh? I think what advice I was given when I started out writing was that I should be keeping all my senses open and absorbing my experiences, be a sponge and absorbing my surroundings in order to write well, because you need to keep things realistic, even though you know that you're writing fiction

@Little_mother

She gave away a lot of herself and smiled more often to neighbors. She was supposed to look more coralish that day but chose to look blue instead. She had a mind of her own. What would you have done to a dying Dalia? Let her secret remain, lying there in the depths of her ill glory. My wife window is no more a flowery Bower. I hurl her at the sky. Let her feed, breathe, and die. Thank you. I hope you liked this one
