And then it hit me. I had no choice but to grow up. That was it. I was no longer a child. I had to take on the responsibilities of an adult because that's what I wanted. I wanted to be an adult so bad that my mom said, here you go. She opened that door for me and handed it to me. At that point, it was my choice to do what it was that I wanted, right?
