And so I myself have pursued h***, we'll use my last husband as an example. I myself have pursued someone from the space of I am into the purpose of being married. I want to be married. That's it. And I did not pause long enough to even look at the consistency or quality or values of him as a human of him. And so the statement was simply I want to be married. But not specifically I want to be married to you
It was a way that when I was excommunicated and when I was living in my car or I didn't have anything to eat, those were ways that I provided for myself. And I guess I became very good at that. And now later on in my life, happily married, all those things, those residual feelings don't go away. And I think that's something to bring to the discussion

Like, I really just let that first and second year be about finding out who people are because you may or may not be for each other. And sometimes you can find out quickly by a statement of, oh, I don't want to deal with someone who just wants a deep connection. You're playing games, okay? You quickly know that that person is not for you. Right?

And I do understand there are pressures out there, societal pressure for women to be married and be in a loving relationship and posted on Instagram and Facebook and show their loving relationship and all that stuff. But is that what they really want? Or is that what society is telling them to want? So I guess there can be a whole phase, right? Every woman is allowed a whole phase. Every man is allowed a whole phase. But they're still capable of love. They still are

But the point of the book is like something that I heard you say that even though that was a part of your past and that was a part of survival, you still have to live with what that was and in a sense, live with the ways of what that was. And it just will kind of creep back on you. Almost like grief, right?

And you said something about how women, just from the beginning of their time, like once they begin to mature, unconsciously seduction happens and they're just being the innocent mind that they are that we were at that age and we didn't know that some out of line person was thinking of us in a different way. And that literally happened to me. And I share that in my book, great sex is not love and never will be
I am so glad that I stumbled upon your discussion right after downloading this app because I feel like this is very important. And so I just I'm very grateful to to be involved in this. And the only reason I responded again is I thought of a few things that I wanted to add about how when it comes to the residual feelings or the it almost works like PTSD, if you give away yourself so much to different people for whatever reasons, that's going to come back to you

And then, even on a personal note, just thinking about the times when we were extremely free back in those days of partying for me and my friends and partying and flirtatious and all those kinds of things, and just not realizing how it does come back and revisit you at all times, and the response that our body has to things like that.
