I have said this before, and it came from something I was reading, I think. The Lion Trackers Guide to Life. I believe I was reading that. But it makes me come back to the understanding that maybe I should not have tried to rehabilitate myself to the point where I didn't want to be ruthless anymore because I had already lived that life, right? I'm thinking more along the lines that, okay, you don't have to go and commit crimes, but you still need your ruthlessness with people. Because truly, nobody cares about exactly what you care about but you. They care about what they care about, and they're supposed to
So that's the key being around people, that I don't need to do that. Sometimes you're at work. In my line of work, I travel from places to places. And sometimes you'll meet people who are just they're not happy with themselves and they want to spread their misery to others. And so I just try to block that out and just breathe deeply, say a prayer and keep it moving. That's all I can do
