Being a SUCCESSFUL Poet Is Like Being a Successful Mushroom😂

We're stubborn in our belief that we're just great and that the light should shine on us and our words. We're stubborn in believing that poetry can heal. But you know what? All these things that I mentioned are true, especially in certain spaces. We're not delusional. We're just mushrooms growing in any place that we can and celebrating the one month where the light does shine on us, which is April poetry month. So happy poetry month, mushrooms. Bye

Hey, Erica, I think you're missing one big connection between poets and mushrooms. Mushrooms are nutritious and delicious, but they also take us on extraordinary trips if they are special mushrooms. So I just want to affirm that indeed it is a great connection and one that to me represents my experience with great poets, which is fantastical sometimes and out of this world

Hey, Debra. Thank you for responding. I love that I did not think of that at all. And I don't know, I don't know why, but that is. Yeah, that's who we are as poetry. And that's how I feel after reading a good poem. So thank you so much

Hi, Erica. Becky here from visions expecting. And I really enjoyed the piece on likening a successful poet to that of a successful mushroom. I look at mushrooms as resilient overall. Through anything. They can come. They can come through anything. And they grow within themselves. Spores they create, they grow from. Sometimes it's the places that are undesirable for others that we grow from, but that's if we permit growth

And yes, we are definitely resilient mushrooms, especially with everything that we go through as writers and as poets. Our best work tend to be it comes from a place of pain sometimes, but as I learned from another author many times, our good writings can come from a place of joy, too. So we're joyful mushrooms as well. But thank you so much for sharing your thoughts
