Notes From My Chronic Illness Journal : " We All Battle More Than Diabetes"😳

article image placeholderUploaded by @BunBunsBookPick
However, we think that this is something that people with chronic illnesses do when it's something that everyone should do. So I mean even if you're a type one diabetic it's still good to eat healthy and exercise guys, even though you have to be on insulin I think it's just a good idea. It makes you feel better. So yeah, I just wanted to share that. I'll be back with another swell. You all take care of yourselves. Bye

You. Hello. Thanks for the invite. You know that I'm always interested in diabetes management or diabetes things because I am that type one you were talking about at the end of your speech. I will say that as a type one diabetic, I have to exercise and I have to watch my food. Because if I chase my food with insulin, I'm still going to feel terrible. If I go eat whole box of Debbie cakes, it don't matter

And I did read somewhere, health, diabetes, experience more depression because of the need to be perfect and the need to not have complications down the road, which are so scary because people in my support group now, there's two of them, I think, that are going through diabetic neuropathy and another one is slowly losing their sight

So I'm just going to continue to listen to stuff like this and hear the positive in it instead of the negative and try my best to adhere to some of the things that I hear and try something different, because at this point, to hell with diabetes. I'm really, really sick of it. But I do want to be here for my children eventually, my grandchildren one day, and my. So, anyway, forgive me for being negative, Nancy, but diabetes sucks

The fast food didn't bother my blood sugars too too much. But it felt great to eat things that other human beings eat. Normal human beings eat too. So yeah, definitely a trial and error type of thing. But every day that I wake up is another day to try. Thank you so much for contributing. Bye

Target number, I'll just be at 200 and 5300, and I'll just keep it pushing. There's nothing I can do, because no matter what she does, it just doesn't change. So then there's another young lady, and she's very, very strict with herself because she actually beat diabetes. She no longer has it. Yes, I'm saying it. She no longer has it. It's been two years. She still doesn't have type two diabetes anymore

There was a call that came through and it just reminds me that I'm okay and that it's going to be okay. But diabetes sucks so bad. I mean, people say cancer sucks and it does. Heart disease sucks. Congestive heart failure sucks. Anything that affects you to the point that you can't do or be who you want to be sucks. But I'm learning to live with it. I'm learning to understand it a little bit more

I know for me that when I don't spend a lot of time on social media, my blood pressure is better. So it's not that I'm reading a bunch of negative things, but I'm probably reading some things that are inwardly causing anxiety, inwardly causing irritation, agitation and aggravation and all the things. And so I'm reading things that are kind of microaggressors that are causing my blood pressure probably to spike because I'm irritated and annoyed by what I'm reading

So you're definitely right in seeing the connection between blood pressure and social media posts because I'd be reading those too in the middle of the day or something like that and I'll find myself slightly annoyed. So I know my blood pressure will go up because of the just irritating things that are online and there is a direct connection to it. We doom scroll without realizing that we're doom scrolling and we find ourselves getting more irritated. I can't wait to talk about this book
