Introduction

article image placeholderUploaded by @WRobin4Radio3
Sometimes we might talk about religion, because I am a chaplain at the hospital, Wattaga Hospital. Sometimes we may talk about silly things. My partner and I like to laugh a lot. We may talk about dogs. We may sing songs. As I try to write this introduction, I realize how long five minutes is, and five minutes is plenty of time to start a conversation. I'm 62 years old, and my partner is just turned 60. We have two dogs. We love the mountains

Hey, Robin. I wanted to welcome you to Swell, and you use the question and answer option. So here I go and ask a question, which is going to be fun. Welcome. First of all, I'm also gay. I live in Los Angeles currently. It's a very balmy, beautiful day here, unusual. And I love to kayak and hang with friends and have a beautiful life here. North Carolina seems to be a place, or should you say south or North Carolina?

Not professors, preachers even now. But if you continue to be kind and be safe and loving, things can be done. I've had wonderful conversations by letting them talk to me. And when they ask me to leave, I just say, we're still praying for you. And I do leave. I think I'm going to have to answer how to minister to people with fear about all that's going on. In a separate message, I hope this clarified some. Thank you for asking

Whether you're a parent or an ally or you're the person themselves who are facing this scourge of hate and legislation that make you feel unwanted and uncared for everything's reversing back and it's a bad time, and how do you minister for that? And I ask for my loved ones, for myself, for everybody who's in my community. We are all terribly worried and I can imagine being in the south, it must be quite magnified. So thanks for your thought about there

So right there, I've just talked about a lot of fears that we all have right now as LGBTQIA folk. And like I said, I'm not using love as a cop out or as a quaint way of responding. But here's what I do know. In this horrid world, that is also a beautiful world
