I could speak from experience when I say that, but a lot of the time, marriages fail or relationships fail, not just because the man is selfish or because they don't care, because that's what it comes off as. But those wants and needs were not expressed in the beginning of the relationship because you didn't take the time to be single and figure out exactly what you wanted in family relationships

So, yeah, I'm all for taking that kind of bird's eye view of the situation and seeing ways that you can make different changes and I think that every situation is so unique in their own way, but I know times in my life where I've been able to reflect and take a beat and step out of it. I've been able to take ownership and responsibility of some of the behavior and the patternings that I've allowed as well. So, yeah, very interesting and complex topic
