Not so busy bee

article image placeholderUploaded by @goatea
I think I tapped it and it kind of buzzed around like it was grumpy. And I didn't want to leave. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is. He seems to be odd on pollen. He's he doesn't want to leave this flower, so I don't think it's dead. Or maybe it's sleeping. I have no idea, but I don't want to eject him from the flower, but maybe he's just taking a long rest because he's been busy

You get it with leafcutter bees and you get it with bumblebees as well. So I that's probably what you saw. And you probably was grumpy when you woke up, but they're usually fine. So yeah, just clarify that one

@David_W_Sime male?

Hey, quick question to both of you. Do you know, how do you know it's a male Bee as opposed to a female Bee? Or that is only big female Queen bees, and the rest are male. Forgive my ignorance, but I'd love to know great that you caught a sleeping Michael. That's amazing. And David, I'm so blown away that you know about this stuff. So thanks for the combo

Oh, my goodness. You're right. I just Googled it. Male bees are only drone bees. Their job is to mate with the Queen. And according to Google, the the females are the pollen collectors as well as obviously the Queen. And she's the only one that can reproduce. The more you know. All right, there you go. I'm going to go check out that flower and see if that bees still sleeping on the job. Thanks for the response
