What’s The Worst Job Interview You Ever Had?

article image placeholderUploaded by @GlennPriceMann
And I was just so stressed out by the experience of being interviewed by him. I think I stayed away from Starbucks for like, maybe six months or so because I was just stressed out. Every time I saw that green and white logo somewhere, I was like, I kept thinking about that job interview, but I'm wondering what's worst job interview ever had you ever had?

Sharing my story of a stressful failed job interview. What’s yours? #AskSwell

It was a hard lesson, but I still remember it to this day, and I'll never forget it because it changed the course of my life. And so, yeah, I would say that's the worst job interview experience I probably ever had. I'm trying to think over my life. Like I said, I've been on my current job for 20 some years, so it's been a long time since I've actually applied for jobs

And as I was leaving, I was just, like, thinking, should I have left here with this? Does that mean I didn't get the job? This was just his nice parting gift for me. It was a very bizarre, nontraditional job interview dynamic, but at least I could say that I had that experience

I remember this years ago, I had a job interview with this company, and I didn't know what to expect. And I had, like, a jacket and a tie and slacks. And the guy interviewing me was, like, in cargo shorts and flip flops. And everyone with it was very cool and completely I just look completely out of place in this environment, and I didn't get the job. And I kind of knew that

Hey, thanks for listening, for sharing. Those are some great examples. I don't think it gets more awkward than the person interviewing you crying and they're interviewing you for their position. I feel uneasy just hearing that. And the whole thing with the stopwatch. That's crazy. But I love these examples of how unpredictable these occasions, these events can be. Thanks for listening and for sharing

I had an interview a long, long time ago for a company, and they said they're going to call people and let them know either way, and I wasn't sure if I got hired or not. And a friend of mine who also applied for this company got hired and he said, hey, did you hear from them? And I said, no. And I called them. He's like, but you should just show up to work

You? Well, basically, I think the worst job interview I ever had or or have had is when I have no idea what the company was about. I did not do my homework, even though lately I've had interviews for jobs I've never done before. But I said, I can learn. Example mowing a lawn, power washing boat. Actually, they just asked me how big a boat I cleaned a few years ago, and I had no idea

Ahead. Hey, thank you for sharing. I love that antidote because I think sometimes when you go into an interview, maybe you feel confident in your abilities. So maybe sometimes you don't necessarily not 100% prepared because you kind of feel like, I can do this job, so I can see that perspective. Thank you for sharing
