Session 16: Getting Your Point Across

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
I think even though it's clear in your head, you're positioning it as something that has life to it, that it could be a little shifted and changed based on the fact that you're telling it to somebody whose words and reaction might actually affect the point you're making. This is a more inclusive way of getting your point across

Do you think framing it with a little "air" will help the medicine go down?

Like, okay, this is what you're going to do. And this is what you're going to do. But instead making it an inclusive event makes people feel like and actually allows people to hear your point. So yeah, definitely. I like the wording in that

And then I feel so isolated in the loan because the one person who always gets me doesn't get me right now, and it always freaks me out. I'm like, what am I going to do? And so I really like this idea that you're putting forth of like, maybe they don't have to get your point or agree with your point right away or even ever

The story is the air for me.

It's not exactly the point that I'm making it's more. And how does it flow with the storytelling narrative? Because I feel that's the way I'm understood. By all. I think I'm at a disadvantage when I just rant about something and it's just me bashing something. I used to get into this habit when I used to be on apps like these

@ZLisbon

Hey, these are really interesting observations. Dewan, I really hear you when it comes to the desire to just want to be out there. It's a decision you want to make for sure, and you got to step into it to be heard and want to be heard. Zara, you really bring up a really good point about the dynamic between two people who want to get their point across aka arguments

Truth goodness beauty

And those who are very secure in their truth, they're super willing to bend and adapt and listen to other things and maybe even change their mind because they're not so attached to validating their truth. Right. And I think that's what makes a great scientist, also a great artist, is that malleability that adaptability within the truth and notice that the truth really authentic truth is also beautiful in a lot of ways, and good has an essence of goodness. Right. That truth itself
