Keeping Our EGO in Check

article image placeholderUploaded by @Gamechanger
Grey was surprised to see White, who he had looked down upon as his would be boss. He thought that his knowledge, which he had shared with White would help him get the job. But imagine his shock when he got rejected. He immediately went to meet Mr. White to ask him why he was not chosen in spite of being the best candidate. And this is what Mr. White had to say to Mr. Gray. He said you know, you would be a misfit in my organization

Anjana ma'am, I think you have. Thank you for your podcast and thank you for talking about this topic because you have said it very rightly that we shouldn't get carried away by our success. You know, when in Hindi it is said that nymesha nietzsche dek chalo natogar asmanma dekhalteka ni dega. So thank you so much for all your suggestions and tips and thank you for always inviting me to your swell cast and best wishes. Lots of success to you, ma'am

Hi Ranjana. This worry is absolutely amazing. And I do agree. The way you have portrayed how to keep a check on our ego with the help of the story of gray and white is really amazing. I do agree most of the time, ego will never allow you to grow. It will not allow you to listen to others perspectives. We'll just be bounded by our own thoughts, our own wishes, and our own dreams and desires

When your self love changes into ego's tendencies, you have to be very careful about it because self love is all about loving yourself and loving the other people around you. But this ego will never allow you will always resist any kind of changes that people are expecting from you. And they would never even be able to accept their own self wholeheartedly and they will never be able to accept and love other people around them unconditionally. So one has to be very watchful of which direction they are growing

Thank you so much, Swati, for your beautiful feedback. I really liked what you said about growing in the right direction. I think that's very, very important. And it's important to identify that and know which is the right direction one has to grow in while we are loving ourselves, respecting ourselves. And that's a beautiful thought. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a lovely day. Bye

But once you are an adult, I think people stop telling you, or even if they do, it doesn't come from a place of genuineness. So this reality check is important. And to be able to accept that reality check, as you mentioned in your four points too, that to listen to divergent viewpoints of your families and friends, I think it requires a lot of open mindedness to be able to accept and agree to one's own egoistic tendencies and to keep oneself in check

Thank you, himanshi, for getting back on this. I am so glad to hear your views on this. And definitely, you know, like, I'm glad that you left such a toxic person, you know, and left that job. It's good to do something that you really like and something where you feel comfortable
