THE EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE

article image placeholderUploaded by @Futbol
Over the last few days, the footballing world has turned upside down. I think everyone who follows football has heard up to now. That is something I would not want to make it less objective, but something happening, which is very controversial. So twelve of Europe's leading football clubs have announced they have agreed to establish a new midweek competition, which the European Super League League, which is obviously going to be governed by twelve clubs in general

A dark, dark day for the beautiful game. #kroenkeout

And that's what these people are trying to do. These billionaire owners, these 15 or so people who are deciding to take something that really belongs to the people of the world and make it about shirt sales and drink sales and commercial revenue. And it's appalling. It's disgusting. It is the absolute antithesis of everything that football stands for and everything that every single football fan wants, at least all the ones that I've encountered. Now you can make the case

I understand that money is a very important aspect, but I feel that money shouldn't be the reason why the Trump legacies that have been created over the years based on the Champions League, based on the Premier League. And it is very disheartening to see that something of this sort happening. I completely agree with it being very disrespectful towards other football clubs. I mean, for example, leads in either Aston Villa, Norton Palace have so much more history than probably half the tops put together on that list

Devil's Advocate (Something the devil's will be needing a lot of)

Let's say that's the new European Super League being absolutely nothing like we've ever seen before, because everything that I've seen through American sport is that once they're committed to creating a product, once they're committed to creating an entity that cannot be competed with, they kind of do make it happen. So let's assume let's say that this product in the new European Super League is actually going to give us football the quality of football like we've never seen before?

Just to keep the conversation going.

And whenever you say when you use the word robotic as an adjective in your scientists describe football match. Personally, I wouldn't want a robotic football match. And a lot of the big clubs which play each other are more afraid to lose than win. You've noticed that more so a lot of the times a lot of the managers will say brace and they'll play a little more Kg. They don't want to overstep the boundaries and they won't be high school in games

You guys will never forget it. And that is going to be completely stripped from us. And to make matters worse, this Super League, which Arsenal are apparently part of, we're going to basically be like the Cleveland Browns of this League. If it goes forward, we're going to be serial 19th, 20th place, like every season. I think this whole thing is just a joke book

Sports become more sterile as more money gets involved

And I just wanted to share my experience just on watching sports and watching money get involved and watching money really start to dictate exactly how the game is played. And I feel for all of you
