Let’s get to know each other better.

In fact, it is typically the least most important things I like to talk about. I'm reminded of back in the day on Swell and other various apps like this. I world tell everybody good morning, happy Blank, whatever day of the week it was, and talking about my day and how it was going and things I was looking forward to for that day

Who are you and what are you about?

@SeekingPlumb

@FryedOreo

And so this is where my quote unquote weirdquirky strangeness comes from, but I'm fully embracing it. I was born in the US. I'm a dual citizen with Canada, currently living in Canada, and I love to break the boxes, blur the lines, and imagine possibilities. And I find the chat stuff often lackluster, let's say, because why do we really ask what someone does for a living? Why do we really ask some of the things that we ask?

Pleasure to meet you again @SeekingPlumb

Curious to know about that. But yes, the chatting stuff, it has its moments, right? It has its moments. And obviously there are some people on here that are new, so they're going to kind of fall into that sort of talk. They're going to talk about their favorite movie or TV show or music they like that sort of stuff you come across on these platforms. But I guess I just try to do more of what scares me, what scares me to talk about
@SeekingPlumb

@FryedOreo

But I know that others do there goes to your point. The multiple troops can be true. I've moved back and forth between the US. And Canada multiple times, but was born and then grew up in Pennsylvania and then New York State. Then I was in an international theater company for a few years, traveling across the US. Stationed in California for a period of time, iowa for a period of time, ended up meeting and marrying a Canadian
@SeekingPlumb

@FryedOreo

Did you not read it? To look at your profile and say they're interested in connecting with you and then not read it or look at it or look at the photos, I'm just like, Wow, what is that? I don't understand people sometimes

@SeekingPlumb

Well, I know I'm getting in here late. Seeking plum. What's up? Seeking plum? Long time. Haven't heard from you. I've been away for a minute. Okay. I've been through that myself. People are just, I think, think in society now, we're bombarded with these images on TV, and we're told that these images are desirable. These are what men want, and these are what women want
@SeekingPlumb

@Mtwadamela (@FryedOreo, sorry for derailing your swell!!)

Yeah, I have a friend who describes it as we're still cave people in a a modern, technologically advanced world. You know, humans are still evolving, obviously, but there's it's much, much slower by comparison to how technology is advancing science and discovery and so on. And there's just this chasm between the two I only see getting wider. On the other hand, I am seeing and hearing various movements that are trying to reintegrate some of these things

Thank you @Mtwadamela and @SeekingPlumb

One time on OkCupid, there was a lady who was really mystified as to why I would even like her page being my political stance, which was none, and she wanted to have a discussion with me on why I wanted to match with her. And I told her quite blank, honestly, I literally swiped right on a bunch of people and whoever matches with me

Oh, man. Ay, that's a good one. That's a good one, Swipe. Right on. Everybody. Just everybody. I like all of you. Who wants some of this fried oreos? Old. No, I'm just teasing, man. I'm just teasing. But everybody got their own style, man. I never heard somebody just say it like that. But again, you did, Swipe

I'm Bernie, @topgold on all good social networks.

But the big thing is, sure, they can learn the syllabus, read the readings, do the assignments, but the biggest thing they learn is how to critically respond to stuff similar to what you're doing here. So you throw out an observation, a comment or a question, and people respond to it, or sometimes they criticize. I mean, you're learned by that interaction, learned by the tone of voice, learned by the adversarials stirring the pot

Thank you @topgold

But that's exactly what I do now every day. I believe you even featured me to some of your students at one point in time, which I thought was really cool. And I remember you used to do your audio mash ups on anchor of Post and you world kind of have a little blend of everyone that was kind of in the top of the app, so to speak. So I thought that was cool

I do want to know about what you're watching. Yeah. And then we can get beyond that. We can get beyond that. So I'm happy to tell people where I work that I work for a science museum, but I love theater and art and making goofy things, drawing and cutting and pasting and putting them in my head and putting those photos on Instagram because I'm a visual thinker and all of that. And baking and doing social. Audiocasts from the kitchen

@Tim sharing Netflix recommendations. Photo: Bernie's screencapped Netflix recs.

Oh, my God, we were compatible. I mean, I would have had popcorn with that girl, the daughter of my colleagues. She's a schoolteacher in London. We had great popcorn evenings because, my God, we were exactly on topic with any kind of genre or film and most recently watched films. So my point is this. If I shared my Netflix recent watches or my Netflix rex with you, be an interesting conversation

Thank you @Tim

But I can imagine they got real s*** going on in their lives and family and work and all that stuff. So hopefully this internet stuff doesn't take up too much of that. But anyway, thanks for sharing with us here

Thanks again @topgold

I understand that when I make a lot of those posts, most of the Tim people are going to listen. And they may not agree with it, but they'll listen or whatever. But it's cool to hear the OG anchor heads, I think that's primarily who responded to this, right? Yeah, the old G anchorheads, Christina Tim. And you, Bernie

Gregarious greeting…

There are a lot of things that sort of provide barriers to getting to know someone across these type of platforms. But I can appreciate where you're going with this. I am a pastor, unconventional as I may be. I am a conversationalist. I'm a philosopher and theologian

Thank you @lwatsonjr

And I guess in some way I'm just sort of used to the responses to where it seems redundant to need to invite people to my post. But that was the motivation behind this post was to invite everyone to have a conversation. But it's up to them to decide. And if they do decide, then sometimes that's the greatest invite of all. An organic experience of a eureka moment that we all can changed share

Oh, the cringe…(exclaimed to the tune of the Hindenburg) @FryedOreo

Friday. Oreo, thank you you so much for saying what I just didn't have the nerve being used, being new to the swell space. You know, I like there's this there's this motif of like manners and being sort of PC and all of that kind of stuff that I haven't unlearned that in these type of more intimate settings on social platforms and it's just something that sort of followed me and haunted me for years
