Can you think of Nothing?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
And some religions and teachings and philosophy actually strongly believe it's because you have so much on your mind at all times that you in fact are suffering from your true possible potential, being skewered by all of these different thoughts, these perspectives, and whatnot this thought came to me when I was on an app and it asked a redundant question that most of them ask before you make a post what's on your mind? And sometimes that question seems impossible to truly answer

Is it possible to have no thoughts.. at all?

And I find it funny because 99% of the time I will say no, because whatever it is I'm thinking about, I don't think it hasn't been formulated enough or I don't even know if it's worth a conversation starter. So I'll say no. And yet they still ask which is funny in itself

Enriching ideas @SeekingPlumb

So, yeah, even when we sleep, we're still thinking of things. There's still thoughts there. And I think perhaps maybe in a spiritual context, it's to get yourself more in tune with the primal state of thinking, or not a primal state. More so just the unconscious mind, right? The mind that is not thinking in terms of pure logic and is instead going in some tapestry of emotion that just we can't begin to wretch and some sort of spirit within that

I don't have much to add, but just giving you a heart didn't seem like enough. So I wanted to say thank you. And you had me nodding and smiling along the way. And who is this philosopher? Duan. I'm really enjoyed your response. Thank you

I actually don't believe we can, like, think of nothing because our mind is not completely in our control. There is also a mind which we are not in control of, which is still going on. And and we don't even know if it's working or not. And so to think of nothing is to go beyond your own imagination and your own knowledge, which is pretty hard to do. So. But yeah, that is what I believe. At least

*nothing, doesnt exist. @KrishSeh511

Krish, I not only thank you for taking the time to listen to this swell, but also to offer a reply. Yes, what we think of as nothing, nothing is technically not true. Having nothing to do in itself is something, and nothing really doesn't exist. I mean, we can talk about this whole experience of ours being a simulation conducted by AI and CPUs that are far outside of our comprehension. But matter itself consists of something. Nothing can be destroyed
