Dinner At My Place

article image placeholderUploaded by @EricG
You. Food is a conversation starter. It brings people together and allows us to share stories, sometimes even recipes. For thousands of years, humans have gathered around fire to eat and tell stories. Who doesn't love that, right? Let's pretend for a moment. I've just invited all of you to my place to sit at a table on my outdoor patio, which don't actually have one, but I really like the photo that has contiki lights around it

Besides, of course, experiencing a new place and a new culture and so forth. So I might bring up the time we were in Rome and I mistakenly told everybody to get off at the wrong stop. And my mother in law, therefore, lost her luggage because she forgot to bring her luggage off the train. Or the time I flew to Morocco and the flight was delayed. And that mishap

I love this topic. I love dinner parties, and I love fire, and I have them a lot. Safe fire. Not inside my house. That sounds amazing. And I love travel stories. Michelle. But in the spirit of what Eric started around this idea of memories, I would raise a glass to my dad, who's not here, and I would tell the story of how we were. We used to do boating a lot different kinds of boats. We had one

You. Hi, Michelle. Erica, thanks so much for your reply to my post and taking part of this conversation. I thought someone out there in the swell community might find it interesting. Anyway, I liked your reply in the part about Rome. I've never been to Rome, but I've always wanted to go. I'd love to see the ruins, how it used to look thousands of years ago. But, yeah, I agree with you

Hey, Deborah. Thanks so much for replying to my post, as you always do. You're always engaging. And I like the story about your dad. That was really cool. That story sounded really interesting, and what a nice memory that is. The thing is, it's always the small things that we remember, not stuff that happens, right? Like time when I cook food in a fireplace inside my home when I was a kid with my mom during a winter storm
