Hey, guys. So my mom signed me up for a run, and she's a huge runner. She runs every morning, and I definitely work out, like every day. Pretty athletic, but she signed me up for a run, and it's 10 miles. I don't think I've ever run 10 miles in one, period. Ever
But anyways, but number one, I would gradually get into it, make a schedule of maybe starting out. I don't know how much you run right now, but start with maybe four days and then three days off and then build it to five and two as you're gradually going on and build your mileage up per day per week
I would like to add a point to the gradual part I was talking about with, like, for mileage per week, I would suggest if you're doing like, let's say 5 miles, you want to do 5 miles a day, a week, maybe don't do that necessarily, but maybe like have like four, four, five a four or five days where I'm sure you're going to be tired, that's going to be normal

Interesting. Swell. I listened to what Jonathan had to say and I think he offered great advice. And I too would probably favor some of the tips that he had, such as making sure you're getting a good amount of sleep, make sure that you are getting an adequate amount of protein. You are going to get sore. You don't want to overdo it. I would like to add to that sort of basically the same thing that he said, just take a little by little

You don't have to follow it religiously, but it does give you a good idea of how to increase that mileage gradually. So hopefully that will help. The other thing I want to mention is something that you can't really prepare for. And I assume you'll be training on this on your own. You'll be running solo when you get into a road race and you're starting to get tired, you're getting into the higher miles there. You really just need to focus on yourself
And it also is a really cool mental hack and that you feel yourself improving and you're not like killing your body, running more like swimming more than you can actually handle, but you have a few months, so you caught it
