Strange Medical Facts 1:Frey’s syndrome

article image placeholderUploaded by @DrRovozoky
This is the body's natural mechanism, it repairs itself. So when these nerves are reattached, there are some wrong connections made. So every time you chew, sorry, every time you chew, instead of the signal for the saliva to come out in her mouth, there's a wrong signal sent to our brain and instead more and more sweat keeps coming out from her cheek. So this is not a normal thing but unfortunately there is not much choice the patient has here

Because somehow the picture, the picture attached with your Swell does look really painful. And yeah, thank you so much for sharing this with us. It is strange indeed. Like the title of his well, rightly points out, it's a strange medical fact. And I guess it's pretty obscure. Like you said, I've never heard about it before, but like you said, that quite a few people experience this, unfortunately. And yes, please do keep sharing more such facts

Hi, Aishani. Thanks a lot for your kind words. And, you know, like, there are so many medical facts, videos and podcasts all around the world, but the fact that I could bring something new to you is in itself very delightful for me. Now, coming to your question, is it a painful situation? I wouldn't exactly call it a painful thing. I think the redness in the photo photograph, along with this wetting has been misleading. It's not that painful

Yes, thank you so much for answering my doubt. And yes, it must be really uncomfortable for the people dealing with the syndrome because like you pointed out that in social situations like eating out or eating at a restaurant, in parties or whatever it is, it is very it's unpleasant for people who deal with this syndrome to constantly rub their cheek or whatever it is. That definitely sounds rough, but well, hopefully with time, some medication might come out which helps to control this syndrome better
