The diabetic journey 2024

article image placeholderUploaded by @DrK91
Because it's like I am quite obsessed with this disease. Okay, yeah, the word is obsessed on you. I don't know how to describe it in any other way. I really want to help people who have diabetes get rid of it. And I really want to help those who really, really want to get it cured. There are people I know who would just want to take medicine and then get better. I don't think I'm the doctor for it

Hello. You can take a horse to a pond, but you cannot make the horse forcefully drink the water. It's the same thing as a diabetic patients, you have healthier, healthier alternatives. You have so many programs and so many do's and don'ts and most of them work. But diabetic people take crave for sugar. The refined kumar, the kajukatlis, the rasha gullahs or what, gulab, jamun, rasmalai, all these indian sweets that we have, they crave it more

So there are a lot of things that she can't eat and it's been a journey, but it really is good when two people do it together. All the people in the house do it, so it's very helpful. And the other thing is, it's interesting because there have been cases of diabetes where people have made really good changes in their lifestyle and they were able to reverse their condition. They were not dependent on medications and they were disciplined about their lifestyle as well

Good news for me is I lost one kg. No sugar. Still. We are not eating any sugar. Sugary or baked or whatever. Direct or indirect sugars. We are not. Still not taking them. And I have lost one kg. I have started going to the gym too, but I do not work out like a crazy maniac, okay? I just do 20 minutes of cardio and then 20 minutes of weight training

Hello and thank you so much for the update. It's so exciting to hear about so many amazing lifestyle changes that you and your mother have already made. You know, I think it's also good. I'm also learning about different alternatives like millet and curious to know what is the effect it has. So please let me know as you give more updates. It'd be really interesting

I want to eat rice, I want to eat rotis, I want to eat something sweet, she says. But I give her coffee sometimes with stevia in it. Okay. No. Any other sugary things? Sometimes stevia is fine. What can we do? We are just humans, bound with our habits. So that's there you should not force yourself to just do. You should have discipline to do something

Beetroot and carrot the must haves.

Good morning, sword casters. I hope you all are doing great. So we have started incorporating beetroot and carrot, as is every single day staple diet for my mother, too. Even I have started eating it because carrots and beetroots are amazing root vegetables. There's a myth in India, especially in our part of the India, India, let's say that root vegetables are enemies to diabetic people. Like why these two root vegetables are the key ingredients in lowering your blood sugar spike
