How I found the Swell app and how I want to use it...

For anyone who used to jump rope, double Dutch in particular, there was always the one girl who may have needed a nice little push to get in the rope, because at least in the Midwest where I'm from, we used to call it digging in your potatoes outside the rope, waiting couldn't muster up the courage to jump in

This is so wonderful. I'm so glad that you took the leap and you're testing this out. I agree. I think you have a lovely voice, and it's really exciting to hear that you want to use it to tell your story. Now, I think you more than deserve it. So. Yeah, welcome to the speaking part as well. I'm excited to hear, hear from you, and I'm sure a lot of other people are as well, so

Shanti, what a beautiful post. You're reminding me of this cello that's in my second bedroom, and it's beautiful. And I got it two and a half years ago, maybe around the same time. You got swell. It's got a bow and it's in the corner, and it's a beautiful instrument, as you probably know

But that's not the same as being in the front, and it's not the same as what I had put on ICE for so long with my writing. And it all came through something somewhat like this, so I want to continue to use it in that way. There is something powerful about spoken word, your voice, and how that's interpreted very differently than us writing a bunch of small notes to each other, which is also powerful, but. And something about the voice

Deepee, I was so moved by your cello story. Thank you for sharing it. It reminds me that sometimes I really think that our soul is just speaking to us and trying to encourage us to give it a space to have its voice, or in your case, maybe to sing. So I'm going to keep showing up here on the swell app to give my soul their space. And I just want to encourage you to pick up that cello and give your soul space to sing

And then when you start double dutching and doing tricks, we're going to be like, see, we knew she could do it. So I'm happy that this prompt literally prompted you to use your voice. And I, for 01:00 a.m. Going to look forward to hearing more from you. I'm going to give you a follow because I'm expecting or looking forward, rather, to hearing more great content from you. So take care, be blessed

I connect with my family and friends just in writing or commenting on the pictures or the things that they post. I do not put myself on social media too much. I don't have an Instagram, I don't have a TikTok, I don't have a twitter. I have nothing. I have a WhatsApp because I connect with my family back in Africa. We talk using WhatsApp, but it doesn't cost me money. And I think you can hear that I have an accent here

Welcome

The five minute swell has been perfect for helping me to get within those parameters for different things. Welcome to Swell, and I'm so looking forward to hearing your story and interacting with you. Have a wonderful day. Bye

It's the right time to jump. It's the right time to dig in and you're gonna be alright. You know, you're gonna time those footsteps just right and, you know, you're gonna jump over those ropes and you're not gonna step on them. Or, you know, there's so many things that goes through your head when you want to do things for the first time

Small steps lead to great jumps. I have been on here close to a year, I believe. I don't know if it was March or April, but I have had the opportunity to meet some great people. I've had the opportunity to chime in on some great discussions and I have also been able to share some of my work that I have been working on for a while. And this app has definitely called me out
