article image placeholderUploaded by @Divyangana
Why can't I wear black sarin wedding or whites are in a wedding, why this would matter so much? Are we progressing or are we still stuck there ages before? I want to ask everybody who is currently listening to my podcast that according to you, what would you prefer? Do you think that wearing black or white Sara in a wedding would bring someone bad luck? Or you think that we can wear any color?

And I was talking to this elder aunt saying that, look how pretty she looks in a white side. That's so unique. Unlike all those red vanilla see brides we have already seen. And I was like, just casually chatting up and saying that maybe one day I would like to wear a white sauce to my wedding, to my own wedding. And she was so against it. She was like, no, that's not what our culture says

Hey, Prinna. So, yes, exactly. Now, I think our generation has started normalizing this, wearing these black and white colors in our wedding. And they look wonderful. Myself, I'm wearing it. And I think we are the generation that is going to bring a little bit changes step by step, like this

Thank you so much. Show me for your wonderful anecdotes. It was really amazing listening to you. I think our parents have their own concepts and sometimes we need to listen to them order to make them happy. But also I hope we don't pass the same myths to our children and the next generation and we stop right here so we can bring some changes soon

So even though I kind of avoid myself wearing black nowadays because of the same reason that someone might come up and tell me that why are you wearing black in a wedding? At a wedding. But I think yeah, it's very subjective, varies from culture to culture. There are cultures where maybe people do wear black while getting married, definitely cultures where people were white while getting married. And just yeah, I think these things have like been handed down to us through numbers of generations

Hey Aishani, thank you so much for your swell. It is a very interesting topic and I always kept thinking about this though I prefer wearing white sari or black sari in a tshirt. So I was kind of thinking that why not talk about this like a lot of time I have to think twice before wearing it because a lot of people are Orthodox and they are not so open minded, so kind of taste will comment that why are you wearing this black color in a good occasion?

Hey Divyangana, I guess being millennials we can all agree that we do not agree with superstitions as such. Education gives us logical reasoning and I don't find any logical explanation to that superstition as such. So yeah, I do not agree with this

@AyushdeepNandi2

Yes. Absolutely. Even. I don't agree with this. Even I wear black and white whenever I have the opportunity. So I just hope this myth doesn't continue. Yeah, that's it
