Set & Setting: Using the Voice to change the Mind & shift the Environment
I would be worried and it's like, how am I going to do anything for myself if I'm home and I can't work? And this is driving me crazy. My son doesn't listen and I didn't sign up to be a teacher. I'm a mom, not a teacher. My life would be chaotic and full of despair and I would be trying to escape my environment if my mindset were in that space. And again, it would affect my environment, my setting. Okay?

What I'm talking about is emotional independence in terms of whatever happens outside of me, whatever does not happen outside of me, my thoughts, my reaction, my response, my emotions are independent, separate from that. And so people can be how they're going to be or not be. People can say what they're going to say or not say it. Outcomes could be what they are going to be. And I still have control over my mind, my thoughts, my reaction

I'm super excited to stay up to date with the conversations that you lead. I just responded to your conversation about accountability, and that was powerful. So, again, thank you. I hope that you're having a wonderful day on purpose, with the purpose like I know you are, and I look forward to seeing to speaking more with you

And it's definitely important when you have young people around who feel that, wow, there might be chaos, but in this world of we're going to create the change we need by making space sacred, making time sacred, making conversation sacred. And it really is a beautiful intention and I'm so happy you brought it to this conversation

I want to say thank you so much for taking as a time and making space to listen to my swell and to respond with such a beautiful, heartcentered reply. And what I want to say is odd. Thank you for keeping the energy in the space of Uplifting community because that exactly is what I've been feeling and what I do feel is necessary for a lot of us who are on these journeys in understanding how important the setting is
