Discussing 1A: Discipline and School in the Time of Covid

What are you seeing out there and what should be done as far as discipline? There was an argument made during the show that there shouldn't be any discipline at all because of COVID is stressful enough, and I don't think that's fair to teachers, but I'm curious, what are you seeing? What are you seeing from your kids? If there are any teachers in the swell community, what are you seeing as far as any disciplining that you have to do? And what have you done?

But it is important for them to feel like they're in a classroom environment. So the noise that comes from each other's houses or rooms or whatever, and from the class, it's important for them to all have that ambient noise. And if somebody just said something in the middle, it's important to have that community experience. And I found that where the kids are not muted, but instead given instructions to stay silent, they perform a lot better because they are a lot more attentive
