So that's sort of my high level reaction to this conversation in terms of what I do when I'm speaking with people, I just take a breath and realize that everybody is the same kind of level in terms of we have human anxieties that are just common to all of us. And whether we admit it or not is another question. But we're all kind of just wanting to be loved and we want to belong

I absolutely loved hearing this because I have an upcoming speaking engagement at Pepperdine University in a few weeks. And of course, I have been so nervous and so anxious thinking about all the heavy hitters, the people who do public speaking for a living, and how much they just so much more experience than I. And I kind of feel like I help train my mind by changing my thoughts and saying, wow, I'm bringing something to the table. They have all this experience public speaking

I feel grounded and centered. And then I think, why did I torture myself for three or four days before I had to do this? This was fun. So that's my experience. That's what I got

You both remind me of this idea of the relief after you're done, right? That sense of like, oh my God, that was awesome. I have to tell you a quick story of when I was in 6th grade, I took a public speaking class and I had little index Pardes. And on my index Pardes I wrote look up so that I remember to look up and have eye contact with the audience

You have to just speak about it about that topic. Right. And my father would sign me up and force me to sign up every year until it became second nature to me to just go up there and just speak in front of a large audience group of people. I don't know. I struggled for a few years until I got the hang of it
And I think just being able to take your time and not talk so fast, just being able to just discuss in a calm manner in a slow pace about your speech or whatever it is you have to present is a very important skill. That an important advice to give to someone in public speaking. I think that was something that I always had a problem with. I was just talking so fast and I just kind of wanted to rush out and get that Power presentation out and done with
So the kind of business meetings I have been in or what I have most experience with are some sort of pitch meetings, whether it's a sales pitch, investment pitch, or just talking about directions to take your company and kind of a strategy pitches, if you will. Right. And I've been on both sides of them, whether the person giving those pictures or listening to somebody else and do that. Right
