Some of them are producers, some of them are creatives, some of them are more on the business side, and some of them are just clear personalities that just love to get in front of a mic. But all of them have one thing in common, which is they are making a living in the audio space

Along with my co host, Anthony Valladez, we also had done other stuff together that we didn't get paid for, so it really grew out of following my passion, and then the opportunity opened up, and now I have a full time job in radio, and it's working out for me now. The future, who knows? I don't know what happened yesterday, I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow

It was definitely ad revenue first, but then I got approached by a company I had not heard of, and I was like, Is this for real? But they wanted to do a direct ad sponsorship, and through that, actually, funny enough, it totally was coincidental, but I ended up getting my first couple of million viewed videos, so they got a great deal, but still, I still get that ad revenue

What's the best protocol for someone who's got some good stuff to show what's going on these days in terms of dropping in its people's mailboxes or what's the protocol? I mean, talking to casting directors is always best, but even talking to the director and saying, hey, can I send you my voiceover reel? We're always looking for new voices. We're always looking for new people to add on there because it's oversaturated with the same voices sometimes

I started in 2005 as a front desk volunteer, so I was the person that would hear all of the spirited phone calls from KCRW listeners. And then I moved from there into the music library and then to being a production assistant for a lot of DJ shows, including Morning Becomes Eclectic. Eventually made it onto the air myself, but throughout that time, I was always DJing out. I ran my own personal blog because it was the late Aughts, and that's what we did back then

And people aren't used to even with all the social media and even the tools that we have now, where that seems like it's something that seems so every day, there's a way that that's still really profound. And so a lot of what I do, the stories that I really like to tell, are with archival sound. So I'm really interested in digging into people's past, the histories of cultures and scenes and movements through sound

So you are in the event world, but at a music station that is a haven for the cultivation of great sound and great community. Tell me a little bit about the decision you made. I'm looking at the finances of life, right. Because I was in a band many years as well, and there was a point where I was like, holy shit, when am I going to actually wake up without a sweating forehead?

So my creative compatriots and co creators, co conspirators, all live in a different world has nothing to do with the world of finance, big or small. So it takes care of itself a little bit. All right, let's jump to the future for 2 seconds because we got some time. I mean, generically speaking macro for the micro, you how do you see the world opening up for more opportunities for you financially?
