I'm talking about kids who could say, I get what's going on. I'm going to be be able to sculpt tomorrow because today I have the tools to do that. Now you might be saying, how do we do that? How do we get kids to understand how to code so that they can build the world that we are living in right now that we think is maybe like a little bit of a runaway train. Wow, there's so much going on

And, you know, when we look at who has access across the nation, the 2022 State of Computer Science Education Report showed that it's estimated only about 7% of students get access in elementary school to a computer science course. And then when we look at low income communities, the number is even fewer

And I'm not saying this is something that your program must solve for, but I have just seen this as fundamental in instituting a love for the subject in my own kid and in his friends, that the teacher made all the difference. And so just want to put this out there and would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you

So at Nine Dots, we're not just teaching directly to students, but part of how we sustainably create computer science education opportunities in low income communities is by bringing the teachers along. And for us, bringing the teachers along doesn't just mean giving them a lesson plan and having them teach that lesson plan. It also means creating space for the teacher's own learning and really creating space for the teacher to fall in love with the subject
