Is Hope Your Driver? Does it Help Manifest a Better day / life?

article image placeholderBrené Brown
Some of us had really intense trials and tribulations, and hope was sort of the food we had, our soul food. Like if we have hope, everything else is going to kind of follow. I'm really interested in examining how hope feels today in the world that we're living in today, because we're informed by headlines all the time that can strip us from a sense of hope. But I think counter to that is this idea of cautious optimism

These days… is hope good soul food? Joining us is Nina Rodriguez https://s.swell.life/SSws3y4m2Uni7fq #brenebrown

Faith is with action are my drivers. @DBPardes

Hey, Deborah, this is a very interesting suggestion, right. Hi, Nina. So immediately, first of all, it's clever, right? Really cute. We need hope, life. We need air. That sounds like something someone would say. And you'd be like, wow, yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense when you said that because we do need hope in the intrinsic sense

Hope 🤔

And I'm just like, okay, cool. All right. Well, I guess sort of thing. And I think for me it's more of a calming state when I have the information or some information about whatever it is. But in those events that I don't, hope can be very weird for me. One would look at me and probably think I was a person who was hopeful or et cetera or something like that

I am hopeful. I get super hopeful when I see people posting all the new artwork on social media. I see people taking up new instruments, sharing their music, putting poems up, babies being born, families celebrating together. That is hope and action. And, you know, I think that these are times that we really can endure if we can succeed knowing that hope has to live inside of us. I mean, hope is the key to accomplishing our dreams, really, and making a difference

This conversation is so hopeful. I really it is. I just listened to all three replies and it makes me realize that it's probably easier to conjure up hope when you you find how other people language it and kind of keep it in their toolbox. It really moved me also because we're in a time when I think we need the chorus of hopeful language to lift us above some of the stuff that's there to drag us down

It's easily understood. It means I want now, I may want something but not feel optimistic. I'm going to get it. I may feel hopeful but not be confident that I'm going to get to heaven for sake of argument. Now I wish I could remember the exact words of this point. The hope is the thing with feathers that purchase in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all
