Holocaust Remembrance Day. - A Swellcast for stories and thoughts

article image placeholderThree Generations Speak About the Importance of NEVER FORGETTING / ALWAYS TEACHING the lessons of the Holocaust.
Hello there. It's Deborah with a very bad cold. But I didn't want to not speak today on the day of the Holocaust remembrance. And because we know statistically that a lot of people don't know about the Holocaust, 63% of people in this country don't know about it. It's only taught in certain schools. I think it's important that each year when this day comes around, we share information

Thank you, Debra. Whoo. I'm getting emotional as I talk about this. I have family who died in Auschwitz. And, you know, as a jewish educator, I am always shocked when I talk to my kids who are in regular school. And many of them have told me that there are Holocaust deniers. There are a lot of. Just amazing, amazing. Just so much

You know the Holocaust represents a crazy course of events that led to the invention of an institutionalized like mechanized way of exterminating human beings and it's the worst story of its kind and it needs to be told. And it breaks my heart that with now with the invention of the dark web and CGI and deepfakes the next generation will think it was all fake because now they think everything's fake. It disturbs me but we have to just keep on telling our stories. Thank you so much
