"In My Backyard" A song I found from 30 years ago

article image placeholderIn My Backyard
But it really struck me because the lyrics are all about things sort of dissolving, the disintegration of what I knew as a child in terms of nature and stability in the world, and how it was just kind of crumbling and my sadness about it. But I took it a step further, and you'll see how it ends. And it's sort of a melancholy moment for me because I realized it was such a moment of prescient thinking

Something I wrote and recorded back then and my thoughts come flooding in. https://youtu.be/HgL4gXN9Ick

Hey, Deborah, thank you. Thank you very much. That's a real gem to discover something like that. And it's even better to share it. I can tell you it's, sir. I'm just listen to it twice. And I must say, I'm full of admiration. Yeah, well done

Reminded me of Joan Baez… lovely song @DBPardes

That was a lovely song, Deborah. I just heard it on YouTube and really liked it for some reason. It reminded me of John Base. And the mental picture that came to my mind was of you performing this on stage at Woodstock. Or maybe you bought in The Wrong Temptation a couple of decades earlier. And you could have been there

We were both sad earlier, and I had to kind of shake that off earlier, and I told her, hey, we're going to hang out today and change her mood and shift their mind just by sitting still. And then you come with this beautiful song just to highlight it. So I had to share it with her. Thank you so much for sharing it. This is such a treasure. It's so beautiful. And just to see another part of your beauty. Woman

@Enfinit 🎉❤️

I guess if it was an essay, it'd be super sad. But I remember recording that with the guys I was playing with back then, and there's a drummer named Edna, and I'll never forget him. He was just this cool cat who lived in Jersey and would take the path train over to New York and kind of show up. He always is this happy, wonderful guy. I feel lucky to have his groove behind my music. Yeah. It was good times
