Andreas Vollenweider - Down To The Moon (1986 Release)

article image placeholderUploaded by @darrenkeith3
I used to catch the transit bus from my small town in Illinois over to downtown St. Louis, Missouri. So I think I was either purchasing an album, a cassette mind you a cassette album of either Michael Franks, Keith Special Effects and this young sister talked me into buying another album. It was by Andreas. It was by Andreas Villenvider. The name of the album was down to the Moon. So purchased it, got it home. I kid you not, could not stand this music

It's a good place to be right now, especially where the state of where we're in. We need a way to escape and to relax and music does that. It really doesn't not promoting any violence, any controversy. It's just a very relaxing time, which we need we need to decompress and music can do that. It can cause you to just pause or cause an escape into a different place where you feel some sense of normal comfort. So thank you for that

Here these kids have never played together, ever. Here the middle school kids had never played the pieces of music that they were playing together and they were all able to play in concert in sync with one another. His dad and I were geeked out. We were like, this is not even our thing. But we are so super proud of him. We're so super proud of all of the students and the skill set. And it was just it was a really dope experience

And I'm not knocking the music that's out here now, but streaming it just makes everything just so instant. And it doesn't give you unless you're a music person, a music head. Then you still order the CDs and you still want to read on the artists and which musicians played on which track and who produced it, who engineered it, that sort of thing. Because that's how you learn about different that's how you learn about different musicians

I couldn't tell you we have these artists or are what they do, but I am convinced that we need more of people like you to just bring us into the 21st century with their appreciation of real music. So thank you to more of your content here as well
