The Most Unexpected Thing To Happen To Me While Traveling... Fighter Jets!?!
It was too fast for us to do anything but just drop our jaws. And when we got back to the park office lodge later on, we brought up this thing about the jets. And the lady said, it happens quite often as not being too far from a lot of the air bases. The fighter jets will come and they will practice maneuvering through the gorges and valleys of the mountain range. And we've never seen it since. But it was absolutely phenomenal to see and definitely unexpected
Where we were, we were kind of under this little, I don't know, ridge that was maybe an extra 50ft to 75ft above us where the fighter jet came from. And so we had that extra layer of audible protection so we didn't have a valley or like an embankment to reverberate the sound. I didn't hear the thing till it was right there. Anyway, we both just freaked out and it rattled our rvs. It was so low. It was really trippy
