Maps of Joy

So I'm on beautiful Shibig Island in Maine right now, and the other day I was having this really cool conversation with a lobsterman. And he's been a lobsterman for a long time. He's an older gentleman. He and as I was having this amazing conversation with him, he's also an artist. I mean, you could argue that lobstering is an art as well, outside of his beautiful photography. And I was looking at his amazing face, and he's definitely clocked some wrinkles

I love how you speak about this about this man's face and his wrinkles and that phrase that pops up, right? So maps of joy. Maps of joy. Those things that seem almost like beamed straight to your head from some higher power, this beautiful realization and I don't know, a moment of incredible and just witnessing somebody and seeing all the history on their face. And I totally have seen wrinkles and I've seen maps of joy and I can always tell

Wow. I just shared this with a bunch of people I love and invited a few also because I just think this is such a moment of inspiration. That phrase is so beautiful. It reminds me of the Brandy Carlisle song that I first heard of hers, like, I don't know, 13 years ago now or something. All of those lines across my face
