And I think that this is a giant step in, obviously, for me, the right direction. And I'm just sort of encouraged to know that someone as influential as him is realizing that this is something that needs to be said. And not only something that needs to be said, but something that we really need to continue to draw attention to

So yeah, this should be very interesting, but I do believe that the church should just so the Bible can adapt to modern times, maybe they should rewrite the biblical canon, rewrite some of the old text. Okay, out with the old and with the new. But yeah, what an interesting swell here. I will be looking more into this

And I just so appreciate that we're able to be in this time and be in conversation about it. And I am so happy for the millions of people who have heard this, who are struggling with their own sexuality and might feel better, parents who have children, who are, who are queer and they're needing to understand what to do about it. This might have saved lives, literally saved lives, let alone bring more peace at the kitchen table

Like if law enforcement was to come out and say, we think racism is bad, it's like, well, that's good you're saying that, but the way in which how you go about still treating I don't know. Just it seems kind of weird to me as like, what is this supposed to do exactly? I guess it could mean more

But to me, it's more than just saying it isn't a crime. You're still telling me that it's a sin. And I don't believe that me being transgender is a sin. I know it's not a sin, because, again, the relationship that I have with God and going through my transitional process has been nothing but blessings on blessings. So then take that a step further

I'm not going to answer for somebody else the mistreatment of someone else, not going to do it. And so whether you believe or not, people have a choice to call homosexuality a crime, it's very sad. It's very sad and unfortunate, because there are horrendous crimes out there that does not catch nearly as much attention as this subject does, but to each his own. I think the conversation needs to be had, continued to be had. And I appreciate well for starting the conversation

Difference Between Homosexuality Being A Crime & A Sin. As a man made law this is great that its not a crime however bibical studies say its a sin.

As Christians have always been thinking about how the Old Testament relates to the New Testament, and in particular how the Old Testament law relates to the New Testament, to the New Covenant. So if you look, for instance, in one Corinthians, Romans, Paul's letters, he's talking about this all the time, and he will say things like, do you not know that we've died to the law so that we're no longer bound by it?

More from my initial post

Now, as far as just because I'm not homosexual, am I going to treat a homosexual like wrong? No, I won't show them love. I want to treat them as I would a straight person. Because it doesn't matter what sexuality you are. It doesn't matter what color you are. You are a human being. You have blood that runs through your veins. And as Christians, we are supposed to love everybody as Christ did

The laws with respect to driving or murder and so on, these are to make sure that there is some order to the chaos, relatively speaking, and to have criminalized. And I'm making some general statements and just saying that the laws are about structures and functioning societies. But to make a law criminalizing homosexuality just does not make sense to me. Why? Logically, rationally, there is no reason

Those people, all those people that are like homosexuals and lesbians, they need healing. Because at the end of the day, if you came into this world a woman, you came into this world a woman. If you came into this world a man, you was born a boy, you're going to die a boy, no matter what you do. And, I mean, you can flip it. You can't turn it, you can't change it

It protects sexual abuse and abusers in some cases, some people are exposed, but often the Church has been known to just shuffle around whatever might cause a marketing upset. So I will make no bones that I don't have any particular respect for the clout of power that the Catholic Church carries and the way it has abused it over centuries. Nothing was quite so fun like the Inquisition. So, I mean, let's really look at the roots of what this institution does and promotes

But there is a lesbian woman that is a pastor's kid, incidentally, I'm also a pastor's kid, if I didn't mention that already. But there is a movie that she created called 1946, and it talks about the council. I believe in 1946 that came together to essentially translate from, I believe, greek or Hebrew, a word that was referring to the sexual assault, essentially, that was used during the times of sodom and gomorrah, basically as a way to to control people

Seek the Lord

We don't have a right as mankind to try to change the Bible to make us comfortable. I mean, Israelite Shock did that and they continuously, continuously got kidnapped or sold it to other nations and were treated badly and were forced to be slaves and all these other things because they continued to try to change the word of God. They never followed the word of God. They thought that they could do their own thing. We cannot change

But at the same time, I've always been drawn to women, to girls when I was growing up, and then women later as I got older. And now that I'm transitioning, like you say, I feel like I'm just being comfortable in the skin that I mean, like, I was just existing before. I was basically cross dressing comfortable in the clothes that I thought that fit me. I've always been more partial to boys clothes. I never felt comfortable in girls clothes

But isn't it a judgmental statement for you to say it's not a crime, but it's a sin and you're still sinner? Who are you to say that I'm a sinner when at the end of the day you're a sinner yourself may not be for the same reason? You know what I'm saying? So that's why I say it's like a big contradiction. And I do

@Br33zy The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom

Have we actually sought the Lord in whatever we were reading about? Have we actually talked to ministers that might actually know what the Bible or what the Word was saying that you were looking at, instead of just saying, oh, this is confusing, and throwing it out as if God just doesn't make any sense. It's not that God doesn't make any sense. It's not that the Bible is telephone and this is telephone

And from my human experience, this is what I feel is kosher in my world of things with the way that I carry my spirituality and how I talk to God and how I have my relationship with God. You know, can't nobody take that from me at all. So I do. I stand firm in that. Respectfully. But you have a good evening

@Br33zy i understand that you may have a relationship but is it a relationship God is pleased with ? Is it give and take or take and take ?

Like I can't I'll have a conversation with somebody but then when it starts talking about God, when it's time to talk about God, Holy Spirit and all that thing, I get taken over. It's like a possession, I don't know. I wouldn't say a possession because that's evil. But it's like the Holy Spirit definitely coming over me and he comes over me at the most random time because right now you're talking to saint

And at the end of the day, we're going to be learning and growing for the rest of our lives. And now that you've explained it further, I do agree with some of the things that you say as far as, like, yes, I have a relationship. Yes, I feel like my relationship with God is close, but I'm always wanting to understand more. I'm one of those people
